Reuse, Recycle, Cleanup Fund

Argay Neighborhood Cleanup

The Reuse, Recycle, and Cleanup Program is currently accepting applications on a rolling basis.

East Portland community groups are invited to submit project ideas for cleaning-up our neighborhoods, keeping trash out of our landfill, and engaging people in hands-on sustainability activities!

This EPNO program provides funding to support a variety of community-driven, East Portland based, activities that focus on resuse, recycle, disposal, or cleanup of shared public spaces. We place a high priority on activities that build community, create or strengthen partnerships across community groups, and provide access to seniors or people with disabilities.

What can you use reuse, recycle, cleanup funds for? Here’s some ideas!

  • Neighborhood beautification through litter pickups, work parties, renting of dumpsters to remove household waste.
  • Keep things out of the landfills through a ReUse Exchange Swap, Electronic Recycling Collection.
  • Raise money for your organization with a Metal Recycling Fundraiser.

Got some other ideas? Contact us to talk about it! Contact David at David.Ashton@portlandoregon.gov, 503-823-4550

Thank you for helping us pilot this program

We are in the second year of a pilot program to expand the reach of the Reuse, Recycle CleanUp Program! Your project helps demonstrate that there is a need and demand for this type of funding in East Portland. The Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) and EPNO created this two-year pilot program to reach more community members in East Portland. Building on our existing partnership, which historically provided support for neighborhood association cleanups. BPS provides funds for the community group cleanups and EPNO provides the staff support and basic outreach. Thank you to the EPNO advisory committee for endorsing this pilot program.
