Community Activities Fund

Spring 2018 Community Activities Fund is open!!!.

Application open until 5:00 PM April 12, 2018 (Thursday)!!



Requested amounts may range from $20 to $500.

We expect to have $5,000 to fund projects in this cycle of the Community Activities Fund. The application is a simple one page request form. We hope you will consider applying!

The Communuty Activities Fund micro-grant supports East Portland advocacy and community building projects. Many types of activities will qualify for this fund. For example,

  • Collective action and advocacy efforts to address issues of concern to your community
  • Cultural and language preservation work, community conversations
  • Events, celebrations, work parties, activities that create community in shared public spaces
  • And many other types of advocacy and community building projects

Who can apply?

Formal and informal groups with a community project or activity that involves and benefits East Portlanders and takes place in East Portland (unless there is a compelling reason for another location). Map of East Portland:

The project must meet at least one of our program’s goals. These goals are to:

  • increase the number and diversity of people involved in their communities

  • strengthen community capacity through, for example, skills building, fostering teamwork or partnerships, and other community building activities

  • increase community impact on public decisions
