Neighborhood Allotments

The purpose of the Neighborhood Association Allotments is to support community building and civic engagement activities in East Portland neighborhood associations. Neighborhood Allotment amounts are determined by the EPNO Advisory Committee and are given directly to each of the 13 East Portland neighborhood association boards. This is funding source is not open to applications.

 

Information for Neighborhood Assocations: 

The requirements for budgeting of the allotments and reporting on expenditure are being added in the fiscal year 2015-16 to:

  • Make efficient use of this shared pool of money by allowing other community-building projects to use unneeded allotment funds.
  • Document how these public funds are used for accountability and transparency.
  • Gather stories about how these funds strengthen the community to support the case for more resources.

 

General guidelines for 2015-16 Neighborhood Association Allotments:

  • Eligible expenses from July 1, 2015 to June 15, 2016 will be reimbursed
  • Reimbursement requests can be submitted after EPNO Advisory Committee approval of funding
  • An Allotment budget must be submitted before February 1, 2016
  • All funds that are not budgeted or spent by February 1, 2016, will be removed from the Allotment
  • Reports are due by September 1, 2016
  • A report must be submitted for at least two activities using funds from the Allotment (more are welcome)
  • This process will be reviewed at the end of the year and changes will be considered for next year.
