Spring Cleanup Time!

East Portland community groups are invited to submit project ideas for cleaning up our neighborhoods, keeping trash out of our landfill, and engaging people in hands-on sustainability activities!

Funding of up to $850 is available. Applications are accepted now and on a rolling basis until funds run out. 

These funds are for activities completed by May 15, 2017. Fill out this one page application and send it to David.Ashton@portlandoregon.gov
Ideas for activities:

  • Neighborhood beautification through litter pickups, work parties, renting of dumpsters to remove household waste.
  • Keep things out of the landfills through a ReUse Exchange Swap, Electronic Recycling Collection.
  • Collect dumpster items from seniors or people with disabilities in your neighborhood.

Key Details:

  • All approved applications will receiving some level of funding on a rolling basis until funding runs out. 
  • Projects must be community-driven, East Portland-based activities focused on reuse, recycling, disposal, or clean-up of public spaces. 
  • Any group of people may apply. You do not have to be a formal organization. 
  • Funding is through reimbursement and may take up to 4 weeks. If this is a hardship, contact us to discuss other options.
