2019 Pass the Mic Showcase Concert of Local Immigrant Youth
***
Please join us for our 2nd Annual Pass the Mic Showcase Concert!
This concert will be the culminating concert for our free weeklong music camp for immigrant youth. In this camp, the youth will form bands and learn how to play instruments (guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, etc.), how to write original songs, and how to collaborate creatively. We make this camp as accessible as possible, supplying instruments, cultural supports, food and bus tickets to the youth. The camp is designed to help them use music to express what's in their hearts and on their minds, and this concert will be their opportunity to share their creative expressions with the community.
Please join us at the concert on Friday, August 2. Please tell your friends and bring your neighbors. Let's show these youth that we want them to thrive and we want to hear what they have to say.
